Get out of project approvals, miners tell Federal Government
The Federal Government should remove itself from the task of assessing and approving projects and leave it to state and regional jurisdictions, says a Minerals Council submission to a Senate inquiry into the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act. The council says Australia's species extinction rate is 'probably zero' and expresses concern at the 'alarmist nature' of the Senate inquiry..
