St Jerome's Laneway Festival unveils line-up

Music fans will need to save their dollars for summer, with the unveiling of yet another festival line-up. The annual boutique event St Jerome's Laneway Festival will go national in 2009, making its foray over to Perth, WA, for the very first time. Having kicked off as a Melbourne only event, 2009’s line-up boasts an eclectic mix of tastemaker favourites and underground heroes.

The first additions to the bill include: Girl Talk, Stereolab , Architecture In Helsinki , The Hold Steady , The Drones , Cut Off Your Hands , Four Tet , Tame Impala , El Guincho, Jay Reatard, Buraka, Som Sistema, The Temper Trap , No Age , The John Steel Singers , Canyons, Pivot, Port O'Brien , Holly Throsby , Born Ruffians , Mountains In The Sky, Tim Fite , Still Flyin', Daedelus , and Spiral Stairs – plus more to be added. Laneway tickets go onsale Monday 27 October, and dates are: Saturday 31 January – Alexandra St, off St Paul’s Terrace, Fortitude Valley, QLD Sunday 1 February – Lonsdale St, Caledonian Lane & Little Lonsdale St, Melbourne, VIC Friday 6 February – Perth Cultural Centre, Perth, WA Saturday 7 February – Fowler’s Live, Northern Terrace, Adelaide, SA Sunday 8 February – The Basement, Macquarie Park & Reiby Place, Sydney, NSW.
